Welcome
to our website! We are The Waldo Tribune, the only children's
newspaper on Long Island. With a circulation of over 30,000 copies printed
monthly, The Waldo Tribune is published by us, Waldo and Tulip
the clowns. For over ten years, we have created puppet and clown shows,
facepainting designs, balloon sculptures and magic geared for the young
and young-at-heart.
We are not only corporate and hometown clowns,
but are caring clowns that appear at hospitals, nursing homes and
charities all over our area. Our puppet shows, performed by our troupe,
The Puppetime Players, are packed with characters like Mr. Wolf, the three
pigs, Mr. Moose, the race between the rabbit and the turtle, and the story
about the frog and the princess. Our newspaper, The Waldo
Tribune, is hand-delivered by my wife
Susan and me to over thirty elementary schools here on the East End of
Long Island, and is used in the classroom as a monthly reader and
scholastic tool for learning.
The paper is packed with jokes, puzzles, and
stories for and about kids and clowns, as well as about topics dealing
with history, the arts, science, and fun activities. The Waldo
Tribune is also delivered by hand to supermarkets, toy
stores, schools, restaurants, museums where children may be, and many other venues.
