| Q: How often does The Waldo Tribune come out? |
| |
A: The paper is printed and published one time a month, except for January, February, and sometimes March, and usually distributed the first week of the month, unless there are delays due to circumstances beyond our control, i.e., severe weather conditions.
|
| Q: How much does it cost to run an ad in The Waldo Tribune? |
| |
A: Ad rates vary depending on the size of the ad and how often it is run. You can get big savings on multiple insertions (running the ad more than once), as the cost per issue decreases the more time the ad is run. For a copy of our rate sheet, please call (631) 287-1749.
|
| Q: Who designs the ads? |
| |
A: Some of our customers supply the ad copy to us camera-ready via e-mail, on disc or hard copy, while others request that we create the ad for them, supplying us with rough drafts, illustrations, photos, logos, or anything else they may want in the ad. We will work with you on your ad copy until you are completely satisfied with it and issue us your final approval, before we print it. Ad layout and design by us is included in the cost of advertising your paid ad appearing in our paper, but requirements such as color, professional photography, custom artwork, incur an additional fee. Please consult us at (631) 287-1749 for quotes on those additional services.

| Q: Where is The Waldo Tribune distributed? |
| |
A: The newspaper is distributed throughout the Hamptons, including Montauk, Hampton Bays, and Sag Harbor, plus Riverhead, Manorville, and parts of Port Jefferson Station, to supermarkets, retail stores, libraries, museums, and more. In addition, we are one of the few free publications approved for distribution in schools.
|
| Q: What is your circulation? |
| |
A: The Waldo Tribune boasts a circulation of 30,000 copies each month, except for January, February, and sometimes March, when the newspaper takes a break from publication.
|
| Q: How would I get a story or picture published in The Waldo Tribune? |
| |
A: You may fax us any material you wish to submit for consideration in one of our issues, to (631) 726-2041. If the material is longer than three pages, please mail it to:

Now, fax machines aren't exactly known for top-quality reproduction. For that reason, we strongly recommend sending us a high-quality copy of any photos, artwork, or illustration via "snail mail" or private courier, such as UPS or FedEx. We make reasonable and ordinary efforts to return all photos and artwork in the condition we received them (we are one of the few publications we know that do this), we cannot guarantee their safe return. For that reason, we strongly advise against sending irreplaceable originals. Please send good quality copies or duplicates instead!! We cannot publish photocopies of photos; we would need a good quality duplicate or e-mailed file.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to concerns about viruses, worms, or other hairy snags that can wreak serious damage to computers, if you wish to e-mail a photo, artwork or other attachment to us, we REQUIRE that you telephone us first at (631) 287-1749 before e-mailing us any attachments. Any attachments sent without prior notification to us or approval by us will automatically be deleted.
